LABOUR PARTY DANCE
The annual ball given by the Moera branch of the New Zealand Labour Party and held in the Horticultural Hall on Monday night, was a particularly bright and successful function. Scarlet streamers and flowers against a background of greenery made a very effective scheme of decoration, the work of Mr. A. Sergent. Similar flowers were used in the supper room. Mr. H. E. Combs, M.P., was the guest of honour. Messrs. A. Douglas and V. Gjerson wehe joint masters of ceremony. The committee comprised Mr J. H. Dunn (chairman), Mr. A. Douglas and Mr. C. Suckroo (secretaries), Messrs. L. Turner, W. Hall, A. Suckroo, A. E. Sergent, V. Gjerson and A. Darkins; Mesdames J. Dunn, A. Douglas, H. Baldwin, L. Turner, W. Hall, E. oenson, R. Suckroo, F. Cook, and Misses M. Jackson, M. Douglas and L. Jansen.
