COMING DANCE
Arrangements are well in hand for the Benefit Danee, which will take place in Eva Draper's Studio on Saturday, September 17 th. The proceeds of ■the dance will be devoted entirely to the Lower Hutt Nursing Division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. Everyone knows the splendid work of this band of young people who give their services voluntarily whenever need ed, and it is to be hoped the response t 0 this special effort which is being organised by the Mayoress, Mrs. J. W. Andrews and Mre M. Upton will meet with ready response. An attractive programme of dances old and new, tap solos, exhibition dances, and novelty numbers has been arranged. The members of the Brigade, under the supervision of their superintendant, Mrs Puller will be in charge of the supper arrangements. Invitations may be had from the joint secretaries, Miss N. Powles and Mrs M. Upton, 39 Mills Street, telephone 63-111.
