8 The Hollywood Joy Night committee reports that arrangements for the Uovio iiall are now almost complete. No effort is being spared to make this function the happiest of its kind ever held in the Hutt. The carnival spirit will prevail, and although plain dress is permissible, -the committee urges the wearing of fancy costume, as this will add considerably to the .gaiety of the occasion. Valuable prizes arc being offered and the (committee hope that the entrants will be of suflicieut number to justify the amount spent. 'flic local theatre managers will be gla.l to advise any intending patrons regarding the selection of movie costumes and the poster competitors will surely be willingly assisted by 'the firms whose products they wish to represent. A large number of invitations have been issued, but the committee wish to make it known that as there is a great demand early application is necessary. Tickets are 011 sale at the King George Theatre.
