ARTILLERY TRAINING.
MORE PARADES, MUWKETKY INaTJiUUTION; The 17th Med. Battery, N.Z.A., i'etone, has now increased the number of training parades each month by holding an extra officers and N.C.O. 's parade and an extra full battery parade. At present these officers audi N.C.O.S parados arc being lidd on the first and third Tuesday in the month and the full battery parades on the second and fourth Tuesday in the month. Goy/ip, 011 the following subjects: (1) Duties of and what is required of a N,0.Q.; (!i) (Jamps and bivouacs; (3) tion. The lecture on these three subjects proved to be most interesting' and was appreciated by all the non-commis-sioned officers. The sergeants held a meeting once each month to discuss ways and means of helping the battery. Any suggestions made are submitted to thj officer commanding for his consideration. Apart from the business side of these meetings the seigeauts find much enjoyment in getting together from a social point of view, in re.sped to the social side of the battery, the recent military and naval ball was a great success, and all members of the 17th Battery and, "C" Company Wellington llegimcnt who attended had a very enjoyable evening".
