WEDDING.
GORDON —TTAP.f.ATsrr> An evening wedding of Lower Hutt interest was recently solemnised at St. Peter's Church, Wellington, when Annie Mac Donald, of Wellington, was married to Edward Dugard, only son of the late Mrs. Harland and Mr. W. J. Harland of Wellington. The bride, who was escorted by Mr. E. H. Walters, an old friend of the family, was gowned . in an effective French frock of flame fish net with bands of corded silk taffetas .over georgette in tones of lemon shading to deep flame.. The frock reached the groi*ind, <and the veil was of tulle in similar shades and was arranged, well off tie face in folds of deep flame with a posy at the side of a rose and Jily of the valley and formed a train. Her shoes were of flame satin. The attendant was Miss Mary U-ordon, a sister of the bride, whose frock was of .cream tea rose pattern in floral chiffon over flame satin, with hat of crinoline in deep flame shades, turned •off the face and finished: with."a ribbon bow to tone. Her satin shoes were of a similar akade. Two bouquets were of Iceland popies and roses in harmonising tones and finished witth. flame satin ribbon. Professor F; P. Wilson attendErie Rishwortn and Richard Evatt acted as ushers. As the bridal party left the church the bride was presented with, a silver horse-shoe finished with, a lily of the valley. The Rev Mr. Bullock was the officiating clergyman and Mr H. Tustin was at t&e organ. The church was, charmingly decorated by friends of the bride with Iceland poppies, marigolds and birch- After the • ceremony, at which only relatives and
intimate friends were present, was held at " Dallaim,'' Northland, the bride 's mother receiving in a frock of navy erepe-de-ehene trimmed -with red and gold and navy hat with red and fawn quill feathers, her bouquet being of red tulips. The music room, where the reception took place, was decorated with ielarid popiesand golden polyanthus and the cake, which was made by. a friend was decorated in gold. The bride's
travelling frock was of figured crepe-dc ehene with small hat of green crinoline and breast feathers and finished with a greenstone and silver ornament. Her musquash coat was sent from England as a gift from the bridegroom's father.
