RACING MOTORIST KILLED.

DOUBLE COLLISION ON DAY’S BAY ROAD, (By Telegraph—Press Association). Wellington; Last Night. Jack Edwards, a young man living in Iluia Koad, Day’s Bay, was killed in a motor accident on the Day’s Bay Koad to-day at 5 p.m. He was the driver of a car in which his wife and infant child and three other adults were passengers from Petone to his home.

Several hundred yards from Howard Point tiie car came into collision with another ear approaching it. The vehicle cannoned off this car into another.

The first car struck by Edwards’ cur was pushed over a small bank, while Edwards’ car careered on and overturned. He was killed instantly, while his child was slightly injured. Mrs. Edwards and the other passengers in Edwards’ car and in the other cars concerned were not injured.

Mr. Edwards is believed to be a racing motorist from Australia.
