Lindsay Buick, the author 1 and journalist, are estimated at between | £14,000 to £15,000, but after payment of a few private bequests and other claims the residuary estate is expected |to be between £II,OOO and £12,000. j Under the will, the greater part will i be held for payment of the greater part j of the income therefrom to the Board of Trustees of the National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum for the purchase of paintings, drawings and etchings and statuary and other works of art, as the board shall consider worthy of acquisition and preservation. The late Mr. Buick also left a private collection of paintings, some of which are of high historical importance, to the Board of Trustees of the Art Gallery and Museum, the collection to be designated “The Lindsay Buick Bequest.

A sum of £I,OOO is bequeathed to the Otago University for the purchase of books, manuscripts, engravings and other material for the Hocking Historical Collection.
