The pressure has risen somewhat hut is still rather low over New Zealand and very low to the east. An intense anticyclone still covers Australia and extends on to the western and northern portions of the Tasman Sea.
The forecast is for strong southerly winds to gales. Weather cold, changeable and squally with rain at times and in places hail, and snow on the ranges. Seas rough to high.
