INFANT GIRL DROWNED.
FELL INTO TEN INCHES OF WATER IN BARREL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.") WAIPUKUEAU, Monday. Yesterday morning an infant girl aged eighteen months, Noeline Freda Price, was found drowned at the back of the home of her parents, Mr and Mrs George Price. 'The body was in a half oil J barrel containing ten inches of water. She had evidently overbalanced and fallen into the water while at play. Artificial respiration was applied but was unavailing.
