MOTORISTS IN CONFERENCE.
NORTH ISLAND UNION MEETS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Tuesday. The annual conference of the North Island Motor Union has opened, the President (Mr W. A. O’Oallaghan, of South Taranaki) presiding over an attendance of delegates from all parts of the North Island, with the addition of a representative of the South Island Unionn. The Mayor accorded the gathering a civic welcome. The President’s report was delivered and, with the balance-sheet, was adopted. Numerous remits, covering a wide range of subjects important to motorists, are set down for discussion.
