The Times’s Vienna correspondent states that the Dutch steamer Galilese, con reaching Constanza, reported that outside the port a mysterious armed vessel overtook her. Masked pirates, speaking Russian, boarded the steamer, took possession of her, gagged and bound the crew, transhipped the whole cargo to their own vessel and then departed. The crew on struggling from their bonds, opened fire on the disappearing pirates, but without effect.
