LEVIN SHOW ENTRIES.
LARGE INCREASE IN COMPETITIONS. Late entries arc still coming in for the llorowhenua A. and P. Association’s annual show, to bo held on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 29th and 30th. A count of those so far received shows that they are twelve short of the total for the previous Show, whilst many entries for the Dog Show have yet to come to hand, which will bring the aggregate well above last year’s. The principal increase is in competitions, the entries being 34 ahead of those at the 1928 Show; horses number the same as before, cattle have declined a little, sheep have gained, while pigs show a rather substantial drop. The comparative figures are given below, but it has to be borne in mind that those for this year are not yet complete, particularly in the
case of dogs:— 1929 1928 Competitions 10-1 70 Horses 53 53 Cattle 263 271 Sheep 197 ■ 191 'Pigs 42 63 . Dogs 120 145 Totals 779 791
