UNEMPLOYMENT.
PREMIER’S REPLY TO MR LEE MARTIN. EVERY POSSIBLE EFFORT TO FIND WORK FOR MEN. (By Telegraph—Frees Association). HAMILTON, This Day. Replying to Mr Lee Martin’s protest on the dismissal of employees from the Frankton House factory, Premier telegraphed, "The Government is making every possible effort to absorb the men thrown out of employment on account of the lack of work at the house factory and special steps are being taken at the present time to find work, particularly for married men.” Mr Lee Martin’s statement to the Press says that thousands have been sunk in the house factory and it is economic waste to allow this to lie idle.
