SERIES OF THEFTS.
TRAVELLING TINKER COMMIT-’ TED, (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. At the Magistrate’s Court Henry Patrick Moore (38), pleaded guilty to eight charges, of breaking rand entering various houses early this month and committing theft. The police cuscd travelled round as a tinker. To gain entrance he broke the leadlights over doors or windows and then loosed the catch. In all he had taken £IOO wortlh of goods and jewellery from eight houses. He was caught in the act in a Sydenham house. Accused was committed for sentence, no bail being applied for.
