YOUNG WOMEN'S BIBLE CLASS.

VISIT OF TRAVELLING SECRETARY. In the presence of a large congregation at the Century Hall last evening, a special service organised by the Methodist Young Women's Bible Class was held, at which an address was given by Miss Lorna Hodder, travelling secretary of the Y.W.B.C. movement. The speaker referred to the high ideals for which the Bible classes stood, and the wonderful influence which the'movement was exerting on the lives of many young women of to-day. She pointed out that if the comradeship "and co-dperation shown in the Bible classes were in existence in the wide world, a great number of the problems of humanity would be solved. At Easter one of the great features of the movement was witnessed, when camps were held at various places throughout New Zealand. * There were 21 of these gatheringplaces, and about 800 members assem- -' bled in them. Misses Astridge and Hut ton sang a. duet very nicely, and a solo was appropriately rendered by Miss Chalk. Miss Nancy Andrew read the lesson. The young women of the class occupied the platform. The class were the guests of, their president (Mrs T. F. Gibson) at tea.
