LEVIN GOLF CLUB
DRAWN MATCH WITH MANAWATU A pleasant afternoon's play took place on the Heatherlea links on Saturday, when a team from the Manawatu Golf Club met a Levin team. The final result was a draw, as'Levin won five games, Palmerston won five, and two were halved. Afternoon tea was kindly dispensed by Mrs J. D. Brown, and the visitors were also entertained by, the local club at the Grand Hotel. Following are the results of the games, Palmerston being mentioned /first in each case: — J. J. Stevenson lost to C. E. Hosie. W. E. Winks halved with G. C. France. H. W. Petrie won from J. D. Brown. J. Stubbs won from Kl Adams. D. McPherson halved with I). Todd. Guy won from G. W. Wilson. R. H. Spencer lost to Elsdon Clark (substitute). " McGregor lost to W. Bull. A. J. Phillips lost to J. Challies. 11. Essex lost to W. Smaill. Fergie won from E. Crisp. Den/, won from F. Davies.
