A big house enjoyed immensely “Patricia Brent, Spinster,” at the People’s Pictures last night. "The boardinghouse type is the subject of this amusing and entrancing picture, and lovers of a gripping film should not miss the opportunity of seeing it tonight. TOM MIX—FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. In “The Texan.” due to-morrow, Tom Mix is seen as Tex Benton, a happy-go-lucky Texan, full of pranks, whose six-shooter is set on a hair trigger. One trick after another gets him into no end of trouble. Love throws its lariat over his head when played by Gloria Hope, meets the irrepressible cowpuncher and encourages him fo win the world’s championship in a rodeo. The hair-rais-Vlice Marcum, a girl from the East, ing events in the recent rodeo at Prescott, Ariz., are included in the picture.
