AN ARTISTIC COMBINATION.
The Melody Four, a Wellington \ocal combination which is to give a concert in the People’s Picture Palace* in aid of ihe Levin Band, on Friday, August 1 ( J, were in delightful •sSdence at the Commercial Travellers’ Choir concert in. Wellington on Saturday evening. Referring to their I ertormanco, the Dominion says: ‘ The Melody Four (Messrs. E. W. Lewis, F. V. Blandford, R. S. Allwright, and F. W. Laycock) are attaining a pice degree of finish in their work. They phrase delightfully, and their I reathing, accent and expression are distinctly good. They succeeded in fascinating the big audience with “Reveries” (Storeh), “Kentucky Babe” “Tom, Tom, the Piper’s Son,” and later in “The Radiance of Your Eyes” (Novello). It is evident from ihe foregoing that the residents of Levin disirict are in for a musical treat on the 19th.
