More Soldiers Return,
Advice was received by the local Patriot;© Society on Tuesday afternoon that the Levin quota by the transport Raranga would, arrive home' :-,t (i.5 that evening. Arrangements wo;\"> immediately made to meet the men, the list previously received from the Department showing some seven or eight for this station. The special troop train eventually arrived at 7.45 and two returning men arrived, Gunner Fred. Musgrovc and Private Pat Lee, who were heartily welcomed by the Mayor and Mr Keedwe'.l, representing the Patriotic Society, and by their friends, and were then despatched to their homes by ears provided by local citizens. The ordinary mail train, which !'• oivod clos.'ly niter, brought two more, one of whom was not advised by the Department, as coming to L-.-vin. These two men were Private J. U. Southwood - nnd Private W. Woollett, and they were driven to- their hoincfi. C'li Wednesday morning Mr 11. 'McDonald's son. Graham, reached, Levin, but, unfertile at ?ly cuing to no adv'cc having been received' that 'the transport "had even arrived, the local Society regrets that he was not met as .usual. Lance-Corporal Kay, of Gladstone road, also returned to the Dominion by the Raranga. Amongst the men due to return shortly are Sergt. H. \V. Kelleher, Pte. J. Abraham, Pte. A. G. Astridge, Pte. W, Foskett, and C.M. .Sergt. iS. .Smith.
