Grading of Post Office Raised From Our Own Correspondent WAIPUKURAU, Sept. 7. Advice has been received that the Waipukurau Post Office has been raised to a higher grade, so that it now rank s equal with Ashburton, Rotorua, Dannevirke, Tauranga, and such towns. Mr. C. W. Browne, posemaster at Waipukurau, has always been popular with the general public, and the raising of the grade of the post office will mean that he will remain. This is a matter on which residents can congratulate themselves, lor the Post and Telegraph .Department never tua-keg a. change unless it is warranted by actual facts and figures. The obvious proceeded to happen, there was a toot on the part of the bus, a yelp on the part of the dog and the bus rolled majestically on, but instead of a mangled corpse onlookers saw to their surprise that the dog was being rolled over and over. And passing from front to rear under tho centre of the bu s Foxy emerged a shaken and, from the way he dived for the pavement ■ and home, a >i»er but unhurt dog.
