Week-end Play on the Various Links in the District HASTINGS BOGEY MATCH The weather conditions were perfect for the bogey match played on the Bridge Pa links on Saturday. PLAY AT WAIOHIKI Napier Club Championships Match play in the Napier Golf Clue championships opened in perfect weather at Waiohiki on Saturday. In addition, a bogey handicap was played. In the majority of the games competition was not very close, but there were a few exceptions. Play throughout was of a good standard. Results: — CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP J. R. Hobbs beat R. J. Willis, 1 up. BOGEY HANDICAP This competition resulted in a win for E. J. Phillips (8), who returned a card of 4 up on bogey. MARAENUI CLUB Qualifying Rounds There was a very large attendance of golfers on the Maraenui links on Saturday, ’ when the second qualifying rounds of the various grade championships were played. Scores were very close all through. The winner of the A grade medal, held in conjunction with the championship rounds, was G. J. Templeton, with a net score of 71, H. J. Templeton was second with 72. The winner of the B grade medal was S. A. Bradshaw, with a net score of 70, while N. W. Smith was second with a net 71. The following qualified for the various grades:—
