HERETAUNGA CROQUET CLUB
The annual general meeting of the Heretaunga Croquet Club was held at the pavilion, Mrs H. Jones presiding o'er a gond attendance of members. The annual report and balance-sheet was read and adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year;—President, Mrs Harry Jones (re-elected); vice-presi-dent, Mrs Price; secretary, Airs J,co; I rensirer, Mrs Duck; captain, Mrs Hampton; vice-captain, Airs Ward; delegate. Airs Loy,; selector. Airs Hanis. A hearty vote ot thanks was accorded to retiring officers.
Nearly 10,000 people were reported “missing” in Paris Inst year. Police traced 9000; bul 7IMIO have vanished completely.
