GIFT AFTERNOON

A vary enjoyable bathroom gift afternoon in honour of Miss Peggy McKay, whose marriage to Mr B. Jarvis takes place shortly, was held at Mrs E. D. Brown’s home in Lovedale road, Hastings. The afternoon was spent in games and competitions, following which a delectable afternoon tea was served.

Miss McKay, who was wearing a smart figured frock in navy and dusky pink, was then called on to open the parcels. Mrs Brown’s frock was of wine marocain trimmed with lace to tone.

Those present were; Mesdames D. McKay, S. Jarvis, Perrin, P. K. Peters, T. McNeil, E. Riley and J. Southcott; Misses P. McKay, M, Matthews, P. Jarvis, N. Rhynd, S. Fitzgerald (Wellington) and Judith McNab.
