Lemon Marmalade Recipe “Regular Reader” asked for a recipe for lemon marmalade aud here are two, either uf which should make good marmalade. (1) Ingredients ■ 6 lemons, 16 cups of water, Gibs, of brewer's crystals. Aleth rd: Slice the lemons thin and let them stand for 48 hours in the water. Boil for one hour betore adding the sugar and then boil very quickly for another hour. (2) ingredients: 10 large lemons, lOlbs. brewer’s crystals, 8 pints of water. Method: Soak the lemons in water to which has been added a handful of salt for 36 hours. Then wipe and cut them finely taking out the pips. Place the pips in a muslin bag. Pour the eight pints of water over the sliced lemons and stand all night. Beil for one hour, add the sugar and boil for threequarters to one hour. Add the pips in the muslin bug while tho marmalade is boiling.
