MOTHER OR AUNT?
Custody of Freddie Bartholomew ‘ (Received 23, 1.50 p.m.) LOS ANGELES, Ajril 22. The whole complexion of the Freddie Bartholomew custody case suddenly changed again to-day when documents were received which, attorneys said, withdrew the support of the boy’s father from the side of the mother and threw it in favour of the aunt. Mr. Cecil Bartholomew, father ol the boy, m a cabled affidavit, declared that his criticism of Miss Myllicent Bartholomew was based on a misunderstanding, which is now removed. “The deponent has complete confidence in Miss Myllicent Bartholomew and feels that the interests of the minor will be best served by leaving his control in the said Myllicent Bartholomew’s hands subject io co-operation with deponent,” said the affidavit.
