GUS BLUETT DEAD
Great Loss to the Stage SYDNEY, March 15. Australian theatre-goers were grieved to hear of the untimely death of that most popular comedian, Gus.. Bluett, in his early thirties. Yesterday he suffered a haemorrhage and was hurried to Sydney hospital, where his death occurred in the evening. Gus had just completed an engagement in Melbourne with the J. C. Williamson Co.’s “Yes, Madame.” He resided with his mother and sister at Double Bay. Gus began his stage career with his father, Fred Bluett, and received his first engagement with J. C. Williamson's in 1918, in “Hullo. Everybody.”
