H.B. Association Meets ARRANGING A BOUT A meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Boxing Association was held in Hastiugs last evening, Mr. H. G. Apperley presiding over Messi'S. D. de Lisle, B. Bhadoolt, W. J. Baillie, R. Gray, H. Abbott, A. Chote and J. Stickland (bon. sec.) Mr. S. K. Standing wrote accepting the office of vice-president and enclosed a donation towards the association's funds. —He is to be thanked for his donation. Advice was received from Blenheim to the effect that on account of his forthcoming marriage Borcovsky would be unable to meet Al Stock ns anticipated early next month bat was prepared to fulfil the engagement in Aust. —It was decided to offer tno match with Stock to “Stoker” Holland, of Auckland, the light to take place at Hastings on July 15. A challenge was received from Parkvale for the Ormond Cup aud it was decided to ask Mahora (the holders) to accept the challenge and stage tho contest at an early date, if at all possible before July 15. Messrs. Apperley, Baillie and Chote were appointed as disputes committee for tho ensuing season. The question of trophies for amateurs was discussed and it was decided that all amateurs matched for contests be notified in writing of the matching and with whom they are matched, and that the trophy be an order for £1 payable to the winner only. It was further decided that each amateur taking part in a contest will be given one ticket for himself and one for the trainer, provided that if there be three or more boys from the one ‘school.” the trainer is to receive one extra ticket for an assistant.
