DANCE AT ESKDALE
Tho utminil ball of tho Eskdalc Wu men’s Institute, held at Eskdulo on Wednesday evening was n piTHiounced success. The hall xvrib rlT« , ’ , l i \ idy de poralcd with autumn streamers and greenery ami the supper tables looked charming with their decorations of marigold flowers. Lew Munro’s orchestra played mncli appreciated niusir. the extras, being played by Mrs Nichol and Miss Palliscr. Much amusement wj»s derived from a Monte Carlo novelty dance. Supper was served by members of the institute, the arrangements having been carried out bv Sco't. Saunders and Carmichael. Mr A. Brown wade a capable master of ceremonies. Tho institute grat(‘fiilly acknowledges Ihe assistance given always so willinglv bv its two “institute men.’’ Messrs 1 A. Brown and AV. T. Kirkham.
