Congratulations Appreciated Mr D. T. McCormick, headmaster of the Hastings Central School, who has been appointed principal of the Linwood Avenue School, Christchurch, has written as follows to the secretary of the Parkvale School Committee (Mr J. I think it is a splendid gesture of friendliness and good fellowship from associates in the cause of education, and I shall always appreciate it as one of the high lights in my association with Hastings that the committee of a neighbouring school should see fit, when I am about to leave, to act as you have. I feel that I have received a great honour for which I am deeply grateful. With all good wishes for the success of the good work in which you are engaged.— Yours, etc., D. T. McCORMICK.
