TOURIST TROPHY RACE
Stanley Wood’s Seventh Win (British Official Wireless Service) RUGBY, June 19. The lightweight motor-cycle Tourist Trophy, over the Isle of Man course was won for the seventh time by Stanley 'Woods, riding a Guzzi at an average speed of 71.46 miles an hour. Tyrell Smith, on a Budge, was second at a speed of 70.67, G. E. Nott, on a Budge was third at 69.37, a New Imperial was fourth, a Budge fifth and an Excelsior sixth. D. J. Pirie crashed during the race and died from his injuries.
