Dunedin Premises Raided (By Telegraph-Press Association.) QUNEDIN, April 5. Lewiss Nathaniel Curtis was fined £lOO by Mr. J, R Bartholomew, S.M.. this morning on a charge of using premises in Albeit street, St. Clair, as a common gaining house. When detectives made a raid, Curtis admitted bookmaking. Counsel suggested that the defendant was in' a small way of business, hut the Magistrate said that Curtis could not expect to ask for a moderate penalty as when he was last before the Court in 1923 he was fined £-190
