ESKDALE v. SHERENDEN. WJN FOR LATTER BY 70 RUNS. During the week-end a Shcrenden XI. visited Eskdale to play the return match of their annual fixture. A very enjoyable day was ypeiit, the Eskdale ladies providing a most acceptable lunch and afternoon ten, which was much appreciate’! by all. 1/L'lti.lu had first use of the picket and compiled 111 runs. Double figure scorers were I - Smith (30), Ruddenklau (‘29), M. Smith (26), Sweeting (23) and bhirlev (II). Bigg took three wickets for *2l runs. Boyd three for ‘2B, Baudinet one for three, and Ensor one for *2l. Shcrenden passed their opponents’ score with the loss of three wickets and went on to score ‘2ll. The most successful batsmen were Bigg (69 retired), Chapman (48), Baudinet (31 ) Oliver (19), Boyd (18). Bowling for Eskdale M. Smith took four wickets for ‘22 Tutjp Culwb’k on- for 21 and 1 rnip for 33.
