HAWKE’S BAY BRANCH MEETS ASSISTANCE DURING MONTH The monthly meeting of the executive of the Hawke’s Bay War Relief Association was held in Napier last evening, the chairman, Mr J. N. Barrie presiding over Messrs L. J. Maekersey, W. G. F. Frame, C. H. Critchley, C. V. Chamberlain, T. 11. Ringland and — Williams. Leave of absence was granted to Mr J. Elder. The following oraneh returns were adopted:—Dannevirke payments £123 8/3, receipts £73 13/5; Hastings, £275 0/6, £238 14/9; Waipukurau, £lO 10/11, £lO 5/-; Wairoa, £26 8/4, £25 3/10; Woodville, £l2 2/4; Napier, £164 4/2, £9O 13/3. Assistance granted during the past month totalled £520 12/-.
