ELSTHORPE
From Our Own Correspondent. A meeting of those interested in the formation of a football club was held in the Elsthorpe Hall, Mr P. Hayden occupying the chair. It was unanimously decided to form a club, Mr Gordon Cooper being elected secretary. It was arranged to hold a dance on the 24th inst to obtain funds. As there are quite a number of promising footballers m the district, it is anticipated that some enjoyable matches will be played with teams from neighbouring districts. The Jubilee Bell-Ringers gave a performance in the hall on Tuesday night, but there was only a moderate attendance. The items were well received and a dance followed, to rnusiq supplied by the company. Miss Mackinnoil. dental nurse of the Otane Clinic, made an examination last week. It is expected that the primer pupils of the Elsthorpe School will now obtain treatment at the clinic.
