LEAGUE INTERVENTION URGED. (Received 9, 10.55 a.m.) London, March 8. Advocating League intervention, Sir Arnold Wilson at an Individualist luncheon, described the Suez Canal Co. as a parasitic growth on the shipping industry. The average dividends of 40 per cent, sharply compared with the shipping companies’ agreement of 1883 to reduce the transit duties on loaded vessels to five francs a ton when their dividends reached 25 per cent.
