HAPPY IN EXILE
VISIT TO EX*KAIBER. BULLIED INTO WAR. London, Oct. 29. An Englishman who has returned from visiting the ex-Kaiser at Doorn told the “Manchester Guardian” that the Kaiser was little changed except in appearance. He spoke freely of England, but did not inquire after or mention the English Royal family. “You have nothing but conference after conference, but nothing happens,” he said. Wilhelm said that he himself never wanted war, but was bullied into it by his sons. He made a great point of the fact that he never signed the declaration of war. He hoped the Hohenzollern dynasty would revive, but not with him as Kaiser. He reads German, French and Eng fish papers daily, and is remarkably informed on current events. He is quite happy in exile.
