ARMISTICE DAY
LONDON CELEBRATIONS. ARRANGEMENTS COMPLETE. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 31, 12.30 p.m.) Rugby. Oct. 29. ♦ Arrangements for the celebration of Armistice Day have been completed. According to present arrangements the King will attend the central celebrations at the Cenotaph, in Whitehall, and shortly before the service begins the King and the Duke of York will lay wreaths at the base of the memorial. Wreaths will subsequently be laid on behalf of other members of the Royal family and the Governments of the United Kingdom, the Dominions, India, the colonies and protectorates and on behalf of the Services. Two minutes’ silence at 11 a.m. will as usual precede the service and the silence will be ended with the sounding of “The Last Jost.’’ A short service will bring the ceremony to a close.
