CROQUET
HAVELOCK CLUB'S OPENINC. ENJOYABLE AFTERNOON The croquet clubs of Hastings, Napier, Taradale, Waipawa and Waipuknrau were well represented at the Havelock Club’s opening on Saturday. The weather was fine at the commencement, but at four o’clock the rain came o nand there was a rush for shelter. However, a nenjoyable afternoon was spent by those present. * The results of the competitions were as follows.—Stick and ball. Airs Cook (Napier): one ball break. Miss Carrineton (Hastings); golf croquet. Mrs Cl iff t (Hastings); angles, Mrs C Davis (Wellington).
