EXHIBITION MATCHES. Sydney, Oct. 30. In an exhibition tennis game in Sydney, Jack Crawford (Australian champion) easily defeated the erstwhile champion, J. 0. Anderson, in the singles, 6—l, 6—3. V. McGrath also beat Anderson, ‘s—3, 6—l. J. Willard beat C. Donohoe, 6—o, U—7. Dunlop beat Walker, 6—3, 6—3. Crawford versus McGrath, 6— i, 4 —2, unfinished. Crawford retired hurt with a strained muscle in the back. This contest while it lasted was magnificent. The draw has been arranged for the New South Wales matches against the visiting American champions, beginning on November 10. The New South Wales players will be Crawford, McGrath, J. Willard and R. Dunlop. The games for the opening day will be: Willard versus Van Ryn, Dunlop versus Gledhill, McGrath versus Vines, Crawford and Dunlop versus Allison and Van Ryn.
