DAIRY PRODUCTION
LOCAL INCREASE OP 50 PER OEN The Heretaunga Dairy Company’s output at both Hastings and Walpukurau factories has shown an increase of 50 per cent, up to the end of September. The increased output is explained by the splendid season experienced in this district since last February; also by the addition of a large number of suppliers from the ranks of the sheepfarmers, who have been forced into dairying owing to the financial stress.
