WAIRARAPA SHOW

At the Wairarapa Show, which opened at Carterton, on Wednesday, the entries in practically all of the stock classes showed an increase on last year’s figures, the total being 1567 thia year, as against 1454 last year. A reduction in the number of entries, however, in the other sections of the show, chiefly the schools and needlework sections (which test year was a record) reduced the total of entries to slightly below last year’s figures. The following Hawke’s Bay exhibitors were successful at the show UNRUGGED ROMNEY MARSH Ram, over 30 months.—W. A. Tod (Otane) 1 and 3, Estate James Tod 2. Ram, under 18 months, shorn.— Wm. Tod 2, Murdoch McLeod 3. ■ Ewe, over 30 mos.: F. W. Blatchford (Woodville), 1 and ch., and gold medal; Est. Jas. Tod, 2; W. A. Tod 3 and 4. Ewe under 18 mos.: W. A. Tod 1, reserve champion and gold medal; J. A. McLeod 2; Geo. Shaw (Te Ore Ore) 3; O. J. Nix 4. Two ewes under 18 mos.: Murdoch McLeod, 1; C. J. Nix 2; Geo. Shaw 3; W. A Tod 4.
