THE SESSION’S BUSINESS
OPENS IN THREE WEEKS’ TIME PREPARATION OF ESTIMATES Wellington, Aug. 31. The first main working session of the present Parliament will open three weeks from to-morrow. The Prime Minister stated to-day that his calculation that the business should occupy members until Christmas is an outside estimate. Mr Forbes said that he is unable at present to foreshadow the legislation which will be brought down, as no consideration has been given to the matter by Cabinet, which so far has been occupied with the National Expenditure Commission’s report and the preparation of estimates.
