With the object of draining the. land in the vicinity of the woolwash, Greenmeadows, the ll.wkc’s Bay County Council proposes to put through a drain from the Puriiuu Creek to the junction of the Taradalo road and Wharerangi road through to the new river. The success of a similar work where the land in the vicinity of the Saltwater Creek was drained has led the council to undertake this nftw work, which is hoped will relieve the land of surface water, which causes considerable trouble in that portion of the Greenmeadow s district.
