£15,000,000 CREDITS
REPAYMENTS BY BANK OF ENGLAND. (United Press Association—By CableCopyright.) (Received 26, 1.30 p.m.) London, Jan. 25. The Bank of England annonuces that it is repaying on January 31 credits of £15,000,000 each, the balance of £50.000,000 advanced by the Federal Reserve Bank of the United States and the Bank of France in August to assist sterling exchange. The repayment does not involve any reduction of the banks’ gold reserve or any increase in the fiduciary issue.
