AUSTRIAN DOCTOR SHOT
BY CHINESE SENTRY. (United Press Association—By Cable— Copyright.) (Received 25, 8.35 a.m.) Shangha , January 24. Dr. Albert Forges, an Austrian, was motoring on a Chinese road outside Shanghai when he was challenged by a Chinese sentry, who was not satisfied that the car was stopped quickly enough. He fired, and killed Dr. Porges, but a lady companion was un injured.
