GIFT EVENING
A very happy time spent in the Clive Hall last Tuesuay evening, when Mr. and Mrs. McKee and their two daughters were hostesses at a very enjoyable “gift” evening, given in honour of Miss Ria Cushing, who is to be married next month. The evening was spent in games, dancing and competitions. Mr. 0. D. Avison rendered two very fine humorous stories, and Mr. C. Cushing was much enjoyed in a tenor solo. Mr. C. W. Hellyer asked Miss Cushing to open her fine collection of gifts, and in doing so referred to her very fine qualities and the high esteem in which she is held by her many friends. Mr. C. Cushing suitably replied and thanked all present for their kindness.
