FREEZING WORKS EMPLOYEE’S DEATH
MR MORGAN SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES. WELL-KNOWN HASTINGS RESIDENT. Mr Jack Morgan, the freezing em ployce. engaged at the Tomoana Freez ing Works, who sustained serious injuries last' Friday, by falling from an upper floor to a chamber under neath. died at the Napier Hospital last evening. Deceased, who was about 45 years of age, was for 20 years a resident of Hastings where ho was widely known and highly esteemed. Born in Derry, Ireland, he came to New Zealand, settling in this district, where he entered the employment, fifteen years ago. of Nelson Bros.’ Freezing Works at Tomoana. whore he was engaged for the most of the time in the freezing department. He leaves a widow and a family of four children—three girls and a boy—the eldest eleven, and the boy five years of age. General sympathy is expressed with the widow and family in the grief that has befallen them.
