PLAY READING CIRCLE.
WOMEN S CLUB.
A very congenial two hours was spent on Monday, by the Play Beading Circle, at the Women’s Ciub, the play being that clever and amusing comedy by Barrie, "What Every Woman Knows.” The stage directions were read most excellently by Mrs. A. Rainbow and the various parts were allotted as follows “Alec,” Miss Al. Curlett; enables’ Mrs MacLennan; "Joiui Shand,” Mrs Hogg; “Alaggie,” Airs Robertson; “David,” Airs Perrin; “Comtesse de la Briere,” Alme. Maunder; “Lady Sybil Tenterdon,” Miss M. Fox-Rogers; “James,” Mrs. TurnerWilliams.
The reading went very well, all entering into the spirit of the play, which amused both the readers and non-readers with its amusing situations and bright dialogue. An innovation for this circle was a light supper, which will be the rule now at the fortnightly meetings. Some others present were Airs. Brodie, Airs Elphick, Mrs Webber, Airs Marshall, Airs Waterworth, Airs Lovell-Smith, Mrs Budd, and Miss Al. Couper.
