ST. MATTHEW'S MISSIONARY SEWING GUILD.
The usual monthly meeting of St. Matthew's Missionary Sewing Guild was held on Thursday afternoon, in the G.F-S. room, about thirty members being present. After the usual little opening service in the Church, the sewing was continued and afternoon tea handed round in the Guild room.
Airs. Ballantyne, hon. secretary, read the minutes of the last meeting, which were confirmed. Rev. G. Mortimer-Jones then read a letter from Aliss Smith, of Taradale, who is a missionary in India, which was heard with great interest. The Duplex system of giving, which will be augmented before long in the church, was explained, and those who wished to help establish this were asked to offer their services. A very sociable and pleasant time was spent by all till late in the afternoon.
