SOUTH ISLAND BALL.
Those adventurous South Islanders, whose enterprise has prompted them to dare the perils of Cook Straits to reach the paradise of Hawke’s Bay, need scarcely be reminded of the nineth annual re-ufiion ball of the Clans and Clans’ friends, which will be held in the Hastings Assembly Hall next Wednesday evening. The proceeding, as usual, will include the square dances and the old time waltz.
